SEO Kenya Limited is hiring a Junior Digital Marketing and Customer Relations Officer on behalf of a client, an office furniture store in Ngara, Nairobi. The shop sells office chairs, desks and other office furniture from its store, through its websites and through a lead generation system that we built and run for them.

Social Media Management for an Office Furniture Shop

• Plan and post content on the shop's social media pages, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and other platforms as the shop grows, to a regular schedule
• Reply to comments and direct messages quickly and turn enquiries into sales
• Photograph new stock and keep product photos ready for posting

Short Video Creation and On-Camera Presenting

• Plan, film and edit short videos on a smartphone, including product showcases, store tours and buying tips
• Present products on camera with confidence and a friendly tone
• Follow simple video ideas and trends that fit the brand

Website Updates and Basic SEO

• Update product images, names, prices and descriptions on two to three websites
• Write clear product titles, descriptions and image alt text using target keywords
• Handle enquiries and leads that come in through the websites

Lead Tracking and Sales Reporting

• Record every lead, call, walk-in and sale in our lead generation system

• Answer phone calls and WhatsApp messages promptly and politely
• Guide walk-in customers through the store and help them choose the right chairs, desks and furniture
• Help customers who want to order or book online, from first contact until the order is confirmed
• Keep in touch with past customers for repeat orders and referrals

Store Support Tasks

• Help keep the showroom neat and products well displayed
• Support light day-to-day tasks in the store when needed

Skills for This Digital Marketing Role

• Proven social media management skills, with pages you have grown or run
• Confidence on camera and the ability to film and edit short videos on a smartphone, for example with CapCut or a similar app
• Basic SEO knowledge, including keywords, product titles, meta descriptions and image alt text
• Strong customer care and relationship skills, with a patient and helpful manner
• Good spoken and written English and Kiswahili
• Basic computer skills, including updating a website dashboard and using spreadsheets
• Well organised, honest and able to work independently in a busy store

Demonstrable Skills Over Academic Papers
