Job Description

SEO Kenya Limited requires an SEO Content & Website Portfolio Management Intern. The role is a hybrid position based in Westlands, Nairobi, and focuses on the strategic management and optimisation of assigned website portfolios.

Primary duties include monitoring page performance, diagnosing traffic dips, refreshing existing content, and implementing internal linking strategies to improve search rankings. The intern will use a marketing mindset to align content with customer psychology. This position requires high adaptability to the AI and automation systems used in our production workflows.

The internship provides hands-on training and a monthly facilitation retainer of KES 15,000. In-office attendance is required two days per week: Monday for planning and either Thursday or Friday for audits, with other days being remote.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimise an assigned website portfolio for performance and traffic growth.
  • Monitor page performance metrics with SEO tools and diagnose traffic dips.
  • Execute content refreshing strategies to update existing pages according to current SEO practices.
  • Develop and implement internal linking strategies to build website authority.
  • Use AI and automation systems to scale content production and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Apply marketing principles to align content with customer psychology.
  • Track keyword and page performance to provide data for optimisation.

Requirements

  • A foundational understanding of SEO principles, including keyword research and on-page optimisation.
  • Demonstrable marketing skills with the ability to align content with customer psychology.
  • High adaptability and a willingness to learn and use AI and automation systems for programmatic SEO.
  • Analytical skills for tracking page performance, identifying trends, and diagnosing issues.
  • Ability to commit to a hybrid work model with required in-office days (Monday, and either Thursday or Friday) in Westlands, Nairobi.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be authorised to work in Kenya.
